Teach Children to Save Day
April 24, 2012
ABA Education Foundation established Teach Children to Save Day to spotlight the importance of teaching our nation's youth about saving money. This event occurs every April when bankers make presentations to students in grades K-12 about budgeting, saving, recognizing needs and wants and how interest makes money grow.
Since the first National Teach Children to Save Day, nearly 46,750 bankers like you have made 60,189 presentations and reached nearly 2.3 million children and teens across the country, providing them with money skills they'll use throughout life.
Do your part and help your community by visiting a classroom, church group or youth group and sharing savings lessons.
For information on this program, please contact the NDBA's Dorothy Lick, SVP of Education at (701) 223-5303 or dorothy@ndba.com.
Thank you to all of the banks that have participated in Teach Children to Save.
