LETTERS NEEDED AGAINST CREDIT UNION BILL

Posted on 3/28/2012

NDBA has issued an urgent action alert asking all bankers and bank employees to contact Senators Conrad and Hoeven to express opposition to S. 2231, a bill that would more than double the member business-lending cap for certain credit unions.

Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid (D-NV) could bring the bill to the Senate floor soon after the chamber returns from its spring recess. Since a vote could occur without much notice, NDBA is urging bankers and their employees to contact their Senators immediately to share the industry's continued and united opposition to the legislation.
