FDIC Releases Info Videos for Directors, Officers, Employees

Posted on 4/4/2013

The FDIC yesterday released the first installment in a video series intended to provide useful information to bank directors, officers and employees on the agency's areas of supervisory focus and proposed regulatory changes.

The first installment is composed of six videos. Three of them address directors' roles and responsibilities, and the other three provide information on the FDIC's risk management and compliance examination processes.

A second installment, a virtual version of the FDIC Directors' College Program, will be released by June 30. It will have six modules covering interest-rate risk, third-party relationships, corporate governance, the Community Reinvestment Act, information technology and the Bank Secrecy Act.

A third installment, which will be released by year's end, will provide training for bank officers and employees on fair lending, appraisals and evaluations, troubled debt restructurings, allowance for loan and lease losses, evaluation of municipal securities and flood insurance.
