North Dakota Bankers Association had 25 bankers, staff and guests
participate in the annual ABA Washington Summit in Washington,
D.C April 7-9. The fantastic turnout included four emerging leaders in
the delegation.
During the Summit, participants heard from Treasury Secretary Scott
Bessent, Acting FDIC Chairman Travis Hill, Senators Tim Scott (R-
SC) and Ruben Gallego (D-AZ), House Financial Services Committee
Chairman French Hill, ABA President and CEO Rob Nichols, and many
more. The North Dakota attendees had productive and positive meetings
with North Dakota’s Congressional delegation, discussing key banking
issues including the ACRE Act, Section 1071 of Dodd-Frank, and the
CFPB’s final rule on overdrafts — just to name a few.
