CFPB Home Loan Toolkit Available for Homebuyers

The CFPB recently updated the Your Home Loan Toolkit disclosures that lenders and brokers are legally required to provide to consumers shopping for a mortgage loan.

As mandated by RESPA and TILA rules, these important disclosures provide homebuyers with crucial information in helping them understand the homebuying process and the nature and costs of real estate settlement services. Lenders and brokers should provide the toolkit to homebuyers as early as possible in the homebuying process, and no later than after the homebuyer submits a loan application.

The new toolkit is available immediately for use.
