Communications Manager

Title: Communications Manager
Location: Bismarck
Teleworking: One or two days per week (optional) after probation is complete

This position is located in Bismarck, North Dakota.

On a daily basis, you will be responsible for developing and managing a strategic communications plans and crafting engaging content for various channels, such as newsletters and social media. You will collaborate with the executive team to ensure alignment of messaging with organizational goals and initiatives. Your role will also involve analyzing feedback and metrics to continuously improve communication effectiveness and engagement levels within the organization.

To thrive in this position, you have a proven history in developing and implementing effective communications plans. You possess excellent writing and storytelling skills. Additionally, you demonstrate proficiency in communication tools and platforms.

To be considered for this position, you must have a bachelor’s or higher degree focused on communications, public relations, or other related field, with a minimum of five years experience. Priority will be given to candidates with experience in developing communications specific to financial literacy or the financial industry; skills in graphic design, website design, and social media content creation; knowledge of the banking industry, and experience with Drupal.

Responsibilities include :
•    Lead the development and implementation of a communications plan. 
•    Lead the agency’s digital communications including websites and social media. 
•    Administer GovDelivery (email software tool) for digital communications. 
•    Manage internal and external communications by creating newsletters, press releases, reports, brochures, videos, and other communication materials. 
•    Assist in the management and support of the financial literacy program. This includes the production of educational content and involvement in the LifeSmarts program. 
•    Create presentations and other materials to be presented to the State Banking Board, State Credit Union Board, Legislators, or other groups. 
•    Maintain the personnel manual, organizational chart, and other internal publications. 
•    Ensure digital and written materials meet accessibility and readability standards.
•    Coordinate open records requests.
